What is the Community Widget?

The community widget is a fun way for readers of a blog to get to know each other better. To join the community, add a link on your blog to the community blog. (If you already link to the blog, you don't need to add the link again).

Then go to the widget and click "join the community". Enter your blog address in the box and click submit. The widget will then go to your blog (behind the scenes) and verify that you have a working link.

The next time you or one of your friends uses the link on your blog, your picture and a link to your blog will appear in the community widget! The widget will display the last few "referrals" from the community. Even when someone else clicks through to the blog, your blog and photo still get to appear. (You can only appear at the top of the list once per user who clicks each day.)

You may come to a blog and notice that you are already in the community. A partial list of how blogs link together was created by TheBlogFrog. TheBlogFrog has a robot that craws the web and tries to connect blogs together- and it connected your blog to this blog. If you don't want to be on this list click "Visit the community..." and you will see a link that says "Remove your blog".

Click on the "visit the community" link to interact with other readers of the blog. You can read their latest posts or talk on the Chat Wall.
