About BlogFrog

Welcome to the future of online communities.

Blog owners come to the BlogFrog and setup a "Community". Then they place a "Community Widget" on their blog which connects their blog to their Community.

A BlogFrog Community is a place where readers can interact with each other and get to know each other better. For example, if your favorite blog installed a BlogFrog community you could:

  • Ask other readers a question
  • Read blog posts and tweets created by other readers
  • View the profiles of other like-minded readers
  • Much much more...

For blog owners:

Lots of like-minded people read your blog. Yet to be social, these like-minded readers must leave your blog and go somewhere else.

What if you could bring your readers together in a community that was centered around and integrated into your blog?

That’s exactly what BlogFrog does. It allows you to instantly create a social network integrated into your blog where readers can continue conversations and invaluable relationship-building. Your community will generate more reader loyalty, increased pageviews, and additional revenue opportunities.

A BlogFrog Community is:

  • Instant: Signing up for BlogFrog, installing, and customizing a great looking community takes just a few minutes.
  • Integrated: BlogFrog provides a Community Widget and other tools that seamlessly connect your blog or website to your BlogFrog Community.
  • Income: We’ve teamed with online advertising partners to bring optional money making ads to your community regardless of your individual size or page views.
  • Free Best of all, a BlogFrog community is totally free! There are also Premium and Platinum memberships available to give your blog and community more exposure throughout our entire network.

For blog readers:

BlogFrog communities connect you to experts on every topic imaginable. Have fun while you find like-minded friends, join in the conversation, and connect with other like-minded readers.

Our Mission

At BlogFrog, we are building the web’s best online community platform, one that allows you to cultivate authentic relationships, promote your blog or website, earn income and most of all have fun.

How did it get started?

BlogFrog was founded in 2009 and is the brainchild of co-founder Rustin Banks.

His wife, Tara, used her blog to keep their friends and family updated on their growing family. Staying caught up with everyone’s blog updates wasn’t easy and having a conversation between everyone was impossible. He knew there had to be a better way for readers to interact.

“There was no simple way for bloggers to enable real discussions and interaction on their blogs,” says Rustin. “A blog might have thousands of like-minded readers but what if I want to ask another reader a question or share my own blog content?”

And so the BlogFrog concept was born.

At the time Rustin worked as a full-time aerospace engineer, so he began developing BlogFrog’s first version during nights and weekends. BlogFrog became a hit with his wife’s blog readers and more bloggers soon followed.

He left his aerospace job and teamed up with Holly Hamann – mom, blogger and veteran marketer for tech startups, after being repeatedly recommended to each other by mutual acquaintances in the tech sphere. Holly had spent her career launching start-ups in the tech space and immediately got the real potential of BlogFrog as the next social platform.  In less than a year, BlogFrog has grown to be the nation’s largest network of mom blogs and connects over 1.7 million blogging members and their readers.
