A lot of my projects can be adapted for 9 year olds. I taught 4th grade for 6 years and some of the projects we did I simplified for young children...
Decoupage is great for any age. The type of box, frame or vase can be adjusted to age.
Salt Dough is another for all ages...older children can do free form or more complicated projects.
Printing or Painting t-shirts, tote bags, hats is another suggestion
These can be inexpensive projects. You can find vases at Ross and Dollar Stores. Michaels has plain t-shirts and totes. A jar of ModPodge goes a long way!
