Favorite Holiday Traditions and Giveaway

Holidays and tradition go hand-in-hand! Our family has many Holiday Traditions, decorating our home, baking special treats to share with friends and traveling to see family far away.

Another tradition that is dear to my heart is one that was started many years ago by my hubby. He takes the boys shopping and they pick out a small kitchen appliance for me, but one that we can all enjoy together. We have an indoor S'more Maker, Popcorn Machine and Quesadilla Maker, but my favorite {and I think the boys favorite too} the Hot Cocoa Machine.

Usually a couple times during the week, I get out the Hot Cocoa Machine and whirl up a batch and add some special toppings. Recently we decided to give International Delight Vanilla Caramel Cream a try in the Hot Cocoa. Add a great holiday movie like The Polar Express and you have a great family evening, complete with holiday traditions!

We love to make homemade ornaments for our tree each year. We date them so that we can look back on the memories we created when we constructed them. My daughter loves it and my son is old enough this year to participate.

My favorite holiday tradition is my kids get to open 1 gift on Christmas Eve and it's always new Christmas pajamas. So they get to sleep in new jammies every year on Christmas Eve. They get so excited about it too!

Our favorite holiday tradition is on Christmas Eve our family all gathers around the Christmas tree, drink hot cocoa and Christmas cookies while listening to holiday music. Each child then gets to select on Christmas present to open that night. It is a tradition that has been done in our family since I was a small child and now I am a grandmother of 6. lyndaclark81(at)yahoo(dot)com

Our favorite tradition is during the Thanksgiving weekend to decorate the house for Christmas! Since my 3 daughters were very little, they have their own tree that they would light & decorate. We would enjoy Christmas music & some special cookies & hot chocolate! They are now in their 20's & still love this tradition!
