I think that I'm just going to stick with google+, as I think most people will just end up there or on facebook.  But that's just my view. I kind of assumed that is why they were closing GFC so that it would force people to use google+ instead?

I use Google+ as well, although I rarely get traffic from it!

Some bloggers are starting to use a "Linky Widget" which you can see on my art blog at http://jewelsartyblog.blogspot.com/ .  I have also noticed that Google is trying to steer bloggers using Blogger towards just using +1 and GFC (which is now called "Followers) on their new blog designs templates which came out recently.  These templates look cool but your outgoing links don't show up.  I've done a feedback questionnaire for Google pointing this out.  Perhaps any other readers who also find this a problem could do the same.
