I wanted to take a minute and welcome you to the FHE Forums.

I have looked high and low over the Internet and hopefully, found the right fit for an online community through the Blog Frog.

Leave your thoughts here. Let me know what you think. This is just one step closer to some great things I have planned for the FHE Blog!

Be sure to share your thoughts by starting your own discussions here!

Also... don't forget to share your thoughts, ideas, tips, struggles with Family Home Evening.

I look forward to getting to know a wonderful community!

So anyone have any ideas for FHE for my daughter 14 and me? Hubby has never joined the Church, and doesn't normally participate unless it involves food!

My daughter isn't exactly thrilled that we need to have FHE every week either! We have been working on her Personal Progress, almost done with that.  We have used the Preach my Gospel manual for some...

I hope you get this, I forget to check this sometimes.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. My husband is inactive.  I have 3 kids, 13, 11 and 3. A long time ago I told myself that it was gonna be ME getting us to church, staying active and doing FHE. The kids really enjoy FHE, so I try really hard to have it as much as possible. It can be hard though when your the one having to do everything. Here are a few things that have worked for me.

-I started a FHE group in my ward. We swap lessons every couple of months. It helps to have a prepared lesson ready and waiting! I can even have my older kids read over the lesson and be in charge!

-Like you said if there's food he'll take part. I try to have an interesting dessert. Usually I ask him to help me bake some doughnuts, brownies and if we're having cookies we all help. Then he is eager to get the eating part!

-I also try to find a fun game to play. We usually have a lot of laughs here! Sounds like your a small family so even a quick board/card game would work.

-Here's one I haven't tried yet but plan to; during summer or break you can get together with some other families and have a combined lesson. Have each family in charge of games.

Well I hope this helps and good luck! I know how hard it is! Great job on the personal progress!

Hi Folks! I have your button on my blog sidebar at http://annebradshaw.blogspot.com and am wondering if you might like to add a little picture of my book cover (Famous Family Nights) to your sidebar in exchange?

I can send you the photo file if this is something you might like to do to help further the great cause of family home evening.

Many thanks.
