Me myself, I personally love the Wii Fit for the Yoga and Fun factor. I like how you can chart your weight on there, too. The balance games are awesomely fun, and the aerobic are pretty cool, too.
HOWEVER, it's really hard to keep topping yourself on the scores. There should be a way to save scores and restart-over. It gets pretty upsetting to never get on the board anymore after doing it for quite sometime. Also, it would be nice to have a pre-programmed work out and go from exercise to exercise immediately(same beef I have w/ EAS Active, too).
I would love more variety, too. I like what they offer, but there really isn't a lot, and even less when you have back issues (like I do). I feel there should be way more. I'd love to see dance on there.
I also wish there were ways to ramp up the advanced things, too. Unlocking things even more challenging. Again, gets kind of boring seeing the same things at the same speed all the time.I feel like there's nothing more to work up to.
I would also like to see it have a journalling option or something on there.
With EAS Active, I love the sweat, I love the work you put into it. I love the options and work outs you can create.
HOWEVER, my first time using it, a supposed 30 minute all-over-body workout spent 17 minutes on legs alone, and they were on fire, and I had to stop. That wasn't all-over to me.
Secondly, the resistance band is flimsy and one of my two has torn after not even 2 weeks of ownership (we bought a partner set so hubby and I can work out side-by-side).
I also think some of the stuff is pretty remedial, like the dancing. I would love more of a challenge. Even kicked up on high, it's kind of a joke.
Lastly, I think the controls need to be amped up a bit. Sometimes it isn't reading properly, or it lags in its response time, leaving you doing the exercise for much longer while it attempts to read you. Not sure why it isn't sensitive enough, but it needs to be able to read it better. If I move my arm,I want to see my likeness move her arm at the same time, not a second or two later, or not at all and have words flash on the screen telling me I'm not doing it correctly.
Ideally, I'd love for these two companies to somehow come together and allow for one way to integrate the profiles together, so that you can weigh yourself on the Wii fit, and it'll update the EAS Active's profile with weight so that it'll properly know how many calories your burning. At the same time, as you work out with the Wii Fit, it would integrate into the "memory" so the game would know you worked out there, too, or any other game. If there was a way to create one health profile that worked for all of the health games, keeping track of all that info on one profile you could achieve by accessing the Wii Menu, where it would store everything for you.
What do you think? What are your pros and cons?
