I love it! I just started my own community and have a few members. One person posted, "HI" for a discussion on my group this morning and it got me thinking...I remember kids on the playground growing up that were very good at introducing themselves and making new friends. I love that quality in people and thought I would try it on Blog Frog! I am a very social person, but am not great at putting myself out there to say the first "Hi". It's not because I am nervous or don't want to, I am usually just so busy taking care of my kids or running errands. Even in church I will see people over and over again without seeking them out to say hi. If they are sitting by me I do but there are people in my church that I don't even know their name and I have been going to the same ward for almost 6 years! If I do get the time to ask their name, there is a pretty high chance I will forget. How do you meet new friends? All of his daycares have been home ones. The one he is currently at is wonderful, the kids are all around his age, and has a "learning" environment, etc... I really like him going there.However, lately, he has NOT wanted to go. I give him ample notice (since our work schedules change every week), and he does okay until we are on the way. As I turn onto her street he asks "is Ms. L going to be there?" If I say yes, or he sees Ms. L (the helper) before Ms. D (the provider), he breaks down. If it is just Ms. D, then he is fine. I don't want to switch daycares again, especially as it is VERY hard to find one that I like that does hours that we need for a reasonable price. But, I'm tired of pulling myself away from a clinging THREE year old just because of that. I even asked why he doesn't like Ms. L and he says its "because she makes me lay down..." They BOTH make all the kids lay down, if they don't go to sleep that's fine, but they have to rest. I don't get it, and would greatly appreciate any advice. We took him in for allergy tests months ago that said he had low allergies to gluten and almonds. I took him off that stuff and his skin is STIILL awful. Maybe worse than it was before. His legs are bright red and agitated, always in midst of an excema outbreak and scabbed over from all of his scratching. We continue to use steroid cream and aquafor and baking soda baths, but I'm frustrated...there has to be a better solution. And what's the point of keeping him off gluten if it's not making him better?? Errr.
