My Dad wanting the best for me said I needed to wait until I finished college first. If I married the money would stop therefore I would not finish college. Leviticus 26:18: And if in spite of this you will not listen to me, then I will discipline you again sevenfold for your sins..

Ezekiel 4:4-6: “Then lie on your left side, and place the punishment of the house of Israel upon it. For the number of the days that you lie on it, you shall bear their punishment. 5 For I assign to you a number of days, 390 days, equal to the number of the years of their punishment. So long shall you bear the punishment of the house of Israel. 6 And when you have completed these, you shall lie down a second time, but on your right side, and bear the punishment of the house of Judah. Forty days I assign you, a day for each year.

This prophecy in Ezekiel is in reference to what was going to happen to both kingdoms for the sins listed in Ezekiel 22. This time frame was to include the captivity years and further on. The most amazing thing happens when you put these two sets of scripture together with the captivity and calculate it to Our Calendar from the Jewish Calendar.
390 years (Israel)
+40 years (Judah)

TOTAL of 430 years
-70 years (already punished in Babylonian captivity--completed)

360 YEARS REMAINING

Jewish calendar is 360 days even, due to 30 days x 12 months.

Our calendar is 365.25 days, due to odd number of days in each month.

To change our calendar from the Jewish calendar we must do the following:

360x7 years (Leviticus 26:18) = 2,520 years
2520 years x 360 days (Jewish year) = 907,200 days
907,200 divided by 365.25 (Our year) = 2483.8 years
2483.8 - 536.3 BC (out of captivity) + 1 (no year for 0 AD or BC) = 1948.5

Israel became a nation again on the 15th of the 5th month of the year 1948.
Which is 05/15/1948. Exactly calculated to the year and month as prophesied.

Does that mean we can determine when Christ is returning? NO!

Discussion Questions:1. What was the one main sin that lead to all the other sins?2. In Ezekiel 22:3-11 we saw a list of sins Israel was committing. What are some of the sins we can add to the list from today?3. What is the one thing God was trying to communicate to His people? (Ezekiel 6:9)4. What are some of the idols people struggle with today?5. Write out a prayer today asking God to develop a healthy Fear of God in your life. Included is a nice outline of chapters 1-24.

Here are some discussion questions, would love to hear your answers.

1.How many years does the book of Ezekiel cover?

2.What theme appears throughout the book of Ezekiel? (remember it and apply it to all you learn throughout this book.)
3.What does the vision of the four creatures represent?

4.Describe in your own words how you think Ezekiel felt after witnessing God’s glory, but at the same time seeing the wrath of God that is coming towards the nation he loves?

5.Many times we don’t witness to others because we “KNOW” how they are going to respond. We know they will shut us down. What is our responsibility towards non believers?

discipleship leader for girls. I always had a desire to work either in
a church or help women draw closer to God. But after that one year, God
moved me and turned my life upside down. Things did not go as
planned. This is where the seeds of false beliefs began to take root
in my mind. It was not a conscious decision, it was more of a "well I guess God is not going to use me" attitude.God does not care about age, past, or circumstances, he only calls us to obedience. So in reference to Monday's post are there any beliefs you have settled into?
I would have never believed God would use me in the capacity that he
does right now. But I am so glad God is not limited to my imagination.
