How do you stay on track on the weekends?

In speaking with a few of my friends, I notice that weekend snacking/eating out can often derail the progress from your entire week.  Do you also struggle with sticking to your nutrition/fitness plans on the weekends?  How do you stay focused on your goals in social settings?
