Striving For A Greener Life #LiveLiketheLorax

In this house, my husband does the laundry (mainly because we don't have our own washer and dryer yet and he doesn't want me going to our condo's basement alone to do our family's laundry). His biggest complaint about the laundry products I buy are the fragrances- he does not like the perfumes. My biggest concern is all the chemicals in all those detergents and products we use…we wear clothes on our bodies that have been washed in some pretty strong stuff. Seventh Generation, a company that offers greener products that are safer for us and easier on the environment, partnered with Universal Pictures and the new movie, Dr. Seuss' The Lorax, to share how one person can make a difference in saving the Earth. They are devoted to offering products that minimize our footprint while still being effective, and we had the opportunity to try a few out to compare to our regular laundry products. homemaking safe laundry products I recruited my husband to try out Seventh Generation's laundry products, which are not only better for the environment, allowing us to live greener (like the Lorax), but are also safer for us too (which I love) and they don't have harsh or overwhelming fragrances (which my husband loves). According to my husband, the clothes are clean and they don't smell like a flowery perfume, so he gives Seventh Generation's laundry detergent thumbs up. Some of Seventh Generation's Laundry Cleaning products you should be familiar with: Natural 4X Laundry Detergent uses a multiple enzyme system to fight tough stains as effectively as conventional brands, without synthetic cleaning ingredients. It's non-toxic, can clean almost 70 loads from its single 50 ounce bottle of concentrated formula, and is fragrance free, and is affordably priced so anyone can switch to this safer and environmentally friendly detergent for their own family. Natural Laundry Stain Remover is a non-toxic and biodegradable formula combining an advanced triple enzyme system with a powerful plant-derived cleaning agent to remove the toughest stains, and will be available this spring (although parents with messy kids will probably wish they had their hands on it now). Natural Oxy Stain Remover is a chlorine-free oxygen bleach that fights stains on clothes, and can also be used on carpets, in the shower or tub, and on countertops to whiten and brighten. Since we are selling our condo, this was fabulous for our marathon cleaning session- we made our white porcelain bathroom spotless, and it did a great job with our clothes as well. Natural Fabric Softener both softens and reduces static with plant-based technology that is non-toxic and free of dyes and synthetic fragrances.

Seventh Generation and Dr. Seuss' The Lorax have joined forces to inspire families to conserve the earth's resources with conscious consumption. If every U.S. household replaced just one bottle of 50 oz. 4X concentrate petroleum-based laundry liquid with Seventh Generation's 50 oz. 4X concentrate plant-derived product, we could save enough oil to heat and cool 15,700 U.S. homes for a year. Make a difference by choosing high-quality and effective products from Seventh Generation, now offering free shipping for any purchase over $50! As the Lorax says, "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."
