Do you have a favorite food from the South? I adore fried green tomatoes, and of course, chicken fried steak!
To be honest, as a girl from Eastern Canada now living in Western Canada and having never visited Southern 'anything' I can't say I have a favorite! It's one of the styles of cooking I've been really wanting to taste!
I am a SC transplant living in NM. Fried okra would have to be my most favorite Southern food! Tonight I am mixing SC with NM: Fried Okra Tacos for dinner. Simply incredible!
I love Chicken fried chicken and collard greens! Yum-O! Another fave is good ol' sweet tea! There are so many delicious southern foods.
I love red beans and rice; shrimp creole, and almost anything crawfish!
Y'all are making me hungry!

Had fried green tomatoes for dinner tonight! Having a craving for some SC boiled peanuts today. May have to attempt making these little treasures:)
I've never had true southern food, Live in Ontario so it's just not the same here. But I love fried chicken and have made my own buttermilk version before. So good.
First, you must always have manners. Second, life is uncertain. Eat dessert first.
