I love getting storage bins on sale.  I love getting note books galore!  I love buying the things that will help me or the kids learn better.  Just experiencing the new beginning each year of preparing to gain knowledge is a thrill in itself!

My favorite thing about "back to school" is unwrapping the new textbooks and planning out the new year.

I am a teacher, so I always have mixed feelings about going back to school. I'm excited for my son (still in elementary school) because he gets to meet his new teacher, see his buddies from previous years, and he loves packing his backpack with new folders and pens & pencils.

I love planning the year for my middle school students, knowing the activities that they will be excited about, and trying to build fun into the ones that will be more challenging.

I love shopping for school supplies. I stock up on spirla notebooks, crayons, markers, pens and pencils. I buy enough that it lasts all through the school year.

This will be the first year that I have kids in school.  I think my favorite thing will be seeing all of the knew things that they learn each day.  Grocery shopping alone will be a nice treat, too.

I look forward to seeing what role I might play in helping out at my daughter's school each year, and getting her ready for new challenges!
