I just made a comment on your article on your blog. I get upset over this one with so many people needing food and help. It is because they are afraid of being sued! There should be some exception made that allows people to eat this food with no fear of suing!

When I was 19 I worked at Wendy's in Albuquerque and I made a comment about all the salad we tossed nightly and how the homeless could benefit. My manager replied that this was discussed with corporate and that it was a liability issue concerning getting sued, etc. I was flabbergasted. I think there would be a way around that, and that it is awful to throw away good food while people are starving and have little access to fresh healthy salad.
