How did you break into PR?

As many of you know I am a mom of 1000 likes. I love to talk about, review, evaluate, and pick things apart. I love marketing and jingles! How do I break into doing Product Reviews online? I see a lot of my fellow mommy bloggers out there doing it. How did you get started? Who do I talk to? Am I weird for wanting to get into this? Is it just a fad?
