Okay, I don't have kids but I used to be the kid who got carsick. As strange as it sounds, what helped me was to either have something to drink or eat on long or jostle-y drives. Also, I couldn't have ANY reading material near more or it intensified.
Good luck!

I haven't had any trouble with my kids but I get terribly carsick. The best thing for me is to have air blowing on me. Also I have to look out the window and not even look down to get my purse or anything. It will be hard to keep a two-year-old from looking down.
My friend has been queesy with her pregnancy and our boss gave her some wrist bands that prevent nausea. She said they work.

Yes my 2nd child was, until he got older and we turned his car seat around. And my daughter still gets car sick, it was worse when her car seat was rear facing but I keep a bucket in the car and now atleast she can get it in the bucket.
I hope she grows out of it. Its only when I drive down a curvy road. My husband says its because of my crazy fast driving. who knows

I got carsick as a kid, and do do my daughters. We keep a bucket in the car for just this reason! I've had great luck using sea bands, and my dd is going to try them on our next long trip.

My daughter is that kid. She gets sick every trip in the car over forty five minutes (like clockwork) UNLESS she has the Seabands on. They are $12 at the pharmacy and they work like a charm. It's supposed to have something to do with pressure points or something.
We learned the hard way when we had to remove her carseat cover and have her ride home in pretty much the plastic (poor thing). But who travels with extra carseats? Now, we do. If the trip is long, JUST TO BE SAFE, we bring an extra carseat along!
I am telling you, though, the Sea Bands are worth a try! I would never have believed it until I saw for myself. I also read that sitting in the center of the backseat, to look straight ahead, can help.
Good luck!

I used to get carsick ALL THE TIME. Any long car ride, especially ones with a lot of twisty roads would make me ehem vomit. I've grown out of it mostly except occasionaly if we are driving in circles, or on a twisty or hilly road.
My mom always gives me dramamine (sp?). You can find it in any pharmacy and some grocery stores. It's not perscription. There chewable orange pills. They taste horrible but they work. They usually put me to sleep! You just have to be sure to have him take them a bit before the car ride so they work.
There's another purple pill that I have been using more recently. I'm not quite sure what they are called, but they are said to start working AFTER you are already nauseaus.
They are both kid friendly and chewable! Also, you may wanna start keeping some plastic bags in the car for those just in case times :).
Good luck!

The Bonine pills were tolerable when chewed, but I gagged and vommited every Dramamine my Mom tried to force feed me... she was forcefeeding because she was desperate- I threw up almost every time in was in a vehicle more than a couple minutes... no fun... we kept buckets with lids, but they only help when a kid is old enough to know how to grab it and use it...
I've had 2 get carsick rather randomly, so not fun!

Yup our oldest does and has since he was about 18 months.. Fresh air and encouraging them NOT to look out the window helps.. Those magna doodles have really helped on our long trips.

None of our children get carsick that I have ever noticed, but I do! I need fresh, cool air blowing on me when I'm in a car. If I'm in the back, I will get sick. Perhaps a new placement for your queasy tummied one might help? Good luck...that is no fun:(
