What really made you feel like a mom today ?

Started by phyllis 2/8/2010 6:08:38 PM

I know we are all ( or almost all) moms here and we just do our normal routine everyday but today as i had the kids in the car ( i drive a mini van, most 24 year olds wont be caught dead driving one LOL) anyways ..we were driving to day care and we had the phinius and ferb soundtrack bumping in the car

I looked back at all of them singing and just thought " man i love being a mom"

do you ever have those moments ?

Definitely have those moments!

Last night my son started basketball practice. I definitely felt like a momarazzi....errr, Mom, last night when I came home & downloaded pictures I had taken. I felt like a Mom when I realized I had taken 227 pictures of my son & daughter just in that one hour span.

Puke.  Lots and lots of colored goldfish cracker puke.  All over my folded pile of clean laundry.  I don't want to talk about it anymore.

Oh, Alexis, bless you!  I feel your pain.  Today, we had a swallow test for my 15 month old to determine if he has anything wrong with his esophagus to cause all his gagging (and vomiting).  Turns out, there's nothing wrong with his throat, he's just a little stubborn!

So, my Mom "victory" of the day was figuring out to mix my son's Prednisolone in with honey to get him to take his med!  This is a med he gags on constantly and it's a nightmare to get him treated for asthma/colds because it takes 2-3 days to get a full dose in him.

I feel like a mommy right this minute. Its 8:45 PM and I'm exhausted from keeping up with them all day!

Oh, I had lots of moments today, lol!  But the one that sticks out the most was stepping on my 5 year old's Bakugan something or other while scooping up my 17 month old (who was running away from a diaper change) and slipping on that Bakugan and trying not to drop my little one on the way down (thankfully I didn't and we are both fine...but I'm gonna be sore tomorrow!)

Oh, and I totally agree with the exhaustion...I wish I could go to bed now, but I have a lot left on my to-do list for the day.  *sigh*

Francie
have you ever tasted the Prednisolne? it's horrible unless they've made some major changes to it. I used to have to give it to my son too and it was impossible to get him to take it.
If you keep having trouble giving it to him try a compounding pharmacy to see if they can add something to it to make it taste better... it cost a bit more to have it done but it's better than fighting with your son to get him to take his meds.
