Hmmm...that's an interesting question.  I usually get 50-100 hits a day and anywhere from 100-300 unique page views a day.  I'm not sure what is average though.

My average daily visits have been steadily going up since I started but are still relatively low--less than 20.  Daily page views are usually over 40.  My feed count is much higher--over 60. 

Building a blog is a slow process.

My average for Nov. was 61.8. this is unique visitors. The average hits were 436 for Nov. I had my blog set up for me in late July. It is a self hosted word press blog which I got from the free blog factory. I also like that every month my search engine traffic has gone up too!

I don't know, but I would think that there is no such thing as an "average' blog,.  What I mean is it seems like it would depend on the type of blog you have, and the popularity of that type.  For example, I have a Christian blog, which deals mainly with devotionals, inspirational stories, and such things.  It would probably not be as popular as a blog which has more varied interests like Red's   She has many different topics which she posts about, so her's would definitely be more popular.  Also, A blog which deals with the health issues of a child probably gets a lot of hits because we all want to stay on top of how the little one is doing, their treatment and so forth.  Anyway, I would say to figure that out you would have to look up several of the blogs in your genre and check with them, then get an average by deviding the number of  hits, by the number of blogs.  which should give you a rough estimate of average hits.

Seriously tho, i must agree, "average" can only be suitably defined by the niche(s) the blog spans.

Hey Gal!  Yes, I've seen that, but it doesn't give an  average, that I could tell.  except for the person's own blog.  I thought she was asking "what was the average page views for a blog in general.  My Bad. LOL!  That's why I was telling her I thought it would depend on the type of blog.  Well, I guess I'd better get after my post.

I can't believe that a disaster get's Hits.That is sad.

I found myself getting a few thousand hits when something happens like a tsunami.

Getting around 1500 a day and more sometimes.

Weekends can be slow but it picks up on Monday.
