Understanding is needed Candice, I would add that they be truthful to me always, I hate it when friends lie to me, for whatever reason.

Totally agree Ugochi, I just don't like drama in my life. My motto is be a real with me. I don't have time for fake or desire to deal with fake.

That they can be trusted. If I confide in my friend, I expect them not to blab what I say all over town or to others. And that is without telling them not to tell anyone. They should know that automatically. And my friends do.

I didn't remember that one, trust, will always look out for that. But I guess that means I must be trust worthy  too. I am learning some things here, thanks Katlupe!

That they can keep a confidence. If I tell a friend something, I don't want to find out it's been shared with the world. TRUST!

I totally agree. That is the first thing I thought of too. If my friend can be trusted, everything else falls into place. I can see past everything else. Trust is really the key for me in any relationship.

Great! Trust a foundation for true friendship, noted.
