Sleep, Sleep, Sleep

We all either know or have heard that it is very important to get plenty of sleep each night. Sleep deprivation causes all kinds of things such as:

  1. Obesity
  2. Heart disease
  3. Diabetes
  4. Headaches
  5. Depression
  6. Lapses of attention/delayed reaction times
  7. Death - Yes! Short sleep duration has been linked to earlier mortality

8 hours is the magic number.

So how many hours of sleep do you get each night?

For 1.5 years, I only got 2 hours of sleep. I figure that probably cut off 20 years of my life! sad

For about 3 months after the 1.5 years, I got about 16 hours of sleep a night. Obviously my body was exhausted. surprise

Now I get between 6-10 hours a night. laugh



At first glance I thought she had red hair! LOL

Sleep?????  Overrated! Think of all that you might miss. Just Kidding. I might get 6 hours average. I'm tired.

Probably 8 hours. I never have trouble falling asleep nor waking up. I like to get to bed around ten or so, and get up around six. I never take naps, yuk! My husband takes a nap if he is depressed. I know immediately, because he is not a napper usually. 

To tell you the truth, I don't really believe all that stuff you read about why you shouldn't do something or why you should. Someone has written that down and it does not mean it is completely accurate. Everyone's body is different. What works for me, may not for you. If you know yourself and how various things affect you, then I think you can make the right choices for you.

I would love to just fall asleep naturally and wake up naturally. But my life is I-O I-O it's off to work I go
