Started by Mama Syder , author of The Syders 1/30/2011 4:44:45 AM

Hi all,

I really would like to embed my community but have no clue how to do it...Can anyone help? I've followed the instructions but all it does is leave a link to blog frog on my community page on my blog.

Any help very much appreciated x

Hi Mama Makers, I'm so glad I embedded my community into my blog. It's made it a lot easier for some of my members. The only thing it doesn't do is show them what else is happening around the blogfrog. That can only be seen by the blogfrog home page.

I wrote an article on the newest blogfrog news and how to embed your community into your blog. (Towards bottom of page)

I hope this helps.

Thankyou Carol,

I'll give it another go by following your instructions.

I'm usually pretty good with these things so not sure why I cant get my community to show up on the new page I create on my blog. Do you think it might be a wordpress thing?

I have WordPress and an embedded community at http://livingmontessorinow.com/community/. Carol's directions look great. I think I had to wait a bit for the code to show up once I added it. At first I thought it didn't work, but then my community appeared! I really like having my community at my blog.

Thanks! It's odd that yours isn't showing up. When I used the HTML editor to add my code to my page, I didn't have any problems. You might want to click on the Blog Frog help tab and send an email asking what to do. I've always had good luck with someone responding to an email request if I had problems. Good luck!

Thankyou Deb I'll do that.

By the way did you paste the code onto the new page you created when you did yours? Or am I supposed to paste it somewhere else?

momamakes,

I looked at your blog and I'm only seeing part embed code in your html source.  It's missing the javascript file and the "div" section is missing some info.  Can you go back to the WP editor and see if the code you pasted in is still there?  Sometimes the Wordpress editor will modify the code if you jump back and forth between 'HTML' and 'Visual' view of the editor.

If you still see all the code you pasted in, then another possibility is that you have a WP plugin that's modifying the code before it's served to a reader/user.

I love this idea but doing this nearly blew up my WP blog. I'm pretty conversant with WP. I followed all the instructions step by step and somehow, creating the new page changed my entire home page to my BF community...my actual blog was completely gone!

I took all of the code out and am just wondering whether I should give it another go or just skip it!
